QUALITY PROGRAMMING
The United Village G.A.U.G.E. Program is centered around transforming power. It is a hands-on, experiential, conflict resolution curriculum based on the successful AVP Project. Incorporating the AVP (Alternative to Violence Project) curriculum into our creative mentoring program, allows us to focus on our youth's mental health while implementing conflict resolution tools.

The Village Empowerment Center was designed to Engage, Educate and Empower. This safe space is a place where children can thrive, have a voice and have fun! They will also have the proper guidance to effectively use their voice and ultimately be the
next generation of leaders.

TVEC After-School program is a creative learning program offered by The United Village Inc. This program begins on November 7, 2022, through May 27, 2023, for Student's Grades 3rd-12th.
Each day of the program we will feature a new Workshop or Session provided by a local community partner!
All workshops are led by a trained volunteer and assisted by a Village staff member. The first 5-6 weeks will feature organizations such as Purdue’s Teen Cuisine, Academy of Excellence and Church Community Service and starting in January 2023, the Junior Achievement (JA) curriculum will be offered, featuring programs like JA It's My Business and JA Its My Future. Programs that introduce your child to entrepreneurial experiences and help prepare them for the working world.

KENDALL D. MCGEE
Born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana, Kendall entered the system at a young age. Utilizing that time productively; Kendall received an Associate degree in Christian Leadership, Culinary Arts, and he is a Certified Peer Recovery Coach, and Certified Conflict
Resolution Specialist for AVP.
In 2020, Kendall was able to implement a vision he formed in 2014. This vison was to build a space for his community to unite and empower each other and its youth. With support from some friends and limited funds, he was able to transform an empty space into a phenomenal facility for his community!

LEATRA L. SCOTT
A product of Elkhart Community Schools, Leatra was born and raised in Elkhart, IN and was the first in her family to attend college. After graduating from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor's of Science in Marketing and a Music Minor, Leatra moved to Atlanta, GA where she started her marketing company and worked in positions that built her leadership, team building,
critical thinking and communication skills.
Leatra returned to Elkhart in 2011, and was determined to be more involved in her community and help create the narrative for a Better Elkhart County. Leatra has served on the Southside Inc Board of Directors, she is the new Vice President of Noon Kiwanis of Elkhart, and a Indiana Black Expo member, Elkhart Chapter.
Leatra is an Entrepreneur and a mother of 3 beautiful
daughters, who also love The Village!
